Atlanta United will close out the regular season tonight, at TQL Stadium. Although it isn’t mathematically confirmed Atlanta has all but secured a playoff spot. A draw would be enough for the five stripes to secure a playoff spot. The main goal is to get a home playoff game at Mercedes Benz Stadium. An Atlanta win combined with an NYCFC loss to Philadelphia should secure a home playoff game for Atlanta.
Emerson Hyndman, Marcelino Moreno, and Santiago Sosa will be missing for Atlanta United. FC Cincinnati will be without Maikel van der Werff, Beckham Sunderland, and Nick Hagglund are all injured and will miss today’s match. Both Gustavo Vallencia and Ronald Matarrita are questionable for the side bottom of the standings.
Atlanta struggled midweek against the New York Red Bulls only registering one shot on target in a 0-0 draw. FC Cincinnati lost 2-0 to Philadelphia last weekend and are guaranteed to finish bottom of the Supporters Shield Standing for the third straight season.
Atlanta will be playing for a playoff spot while Cincinnati will be playing for their pride. I think that this will be the difference between the two sides.

Prediction: Atlanta United 2-1 FC Cincinnati
