Austin FC 3-1 Houston Dynamo

Austin FC continued their good run of form with a 3-1 win over the Houston Dynamo. The Dynamo took an early lead, but after Diego Fagundez’s free kick, everyone knew that Austin was going to win the game. Austin is now unbeaten in 6 matches and is sitting top of the Western Conference. Houston now sits 11th in the Western Conference and 5 points below the playoff line.

Atlanta United 2-1 Real Salt Lake

Atlanta United defeated Real Salt lake courtesy of a Ronaldo Cisneros brace. This comes after their biggest ever home defeat that they suffered on Saturday. Salt Lake was able to score through a Johan Kappelhof header, but Atlanta controlled the game and came out of the night with a much-needed three points. Atlanta now sits three points behind the playoff line, while Real Salt is now only four points clear of the 8th-placed Seattle Sounders.

Chicago Fire 2-0 Toronto FC

The Chicago Fire defeated Toronto Fc due to a Jhon Duran Brace. Toronto looked relatively disjointed and had few chances. Brian Gutierrez’s spectacular assist for Chicago’s second goal will likely be in contention for the assist of the season. Both sides are currently very far outside the playoffs with Chicago sitting 6 points behind a playoff spot, while Toronto now sits seven points outside of a playoff spot. Toronto will be hoping that Lorenzo Insigne can turn their season around once he recovers from his calf injury.

DC United 2-2 Columbus Crew

DC United was able to knick a draw in Wayne Rooney’s first game as their manager. DC lost 7-0 to the Philadelphia Union over the weekend and it looked grim for the side from the nation’s capital. However, Rooney has installed a fighting spirit wherever he’s gone and you could see that in this match. Columbus forward Juan “Cucho” Hernandez bagged himself a brace taking his goalscoring tally up to three goals in two games. DC currently sits bottom of the Eastern conference and 8 points behind a playoff spot, while Columbus currently sits 8th and the East and is not far out of a playoff spot.

FC Cincinnati 2-2 Vancouver Whitecaps

FC Cincinnati and the Vancouver Whitecaps battled to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night. Alvaro Barreal opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, but Vancouver battled back and equalized in the 5th minute. Brandon Vazquez then scored becoming the first FC Cincinnati player to score double-digit goals in a single season. Vancouver was able to find an equalizer in the 82nd minute, through Christian Dajome. FC Cincinnati currently sits 6th in the Eastern Conference, while the Vancouver Whitecaps currently sit 10th in the Western Conference, and are two points behind a playoff spot.

Inter Miami 1-2 Philadelphia Union

The Philadelphia Union followed up their 7-0 win with a 2-1 win in Miami. Daniel Gazdag scored an early penalty and Corey Burke put the away side 2-0 up. A Gonzalo Higuain wonder strike wasn’t enough to earn Inter Miami a point and they are now winless in their last three matches. Inter Miami currently sits 11th in the Eastern Conference and is 4 points below the playoff line. The high-flying Union is currently top of the Eastern Conference and 3rd in the Supporters Shield standings.

Minnesota United 1-1 Sporting Kansas City

Minnesota United and Sporting Kansas City battled to a 1-1 draw at Allianz Field. A John Pulskamp own goal put the hosts in the lead, out Kansas City captain Johnny Russel rescued a point for the away side. Minnesota United currently sits 5th in the Western Conference, while sporting Kansas City currently sits bottom of the Western Conference and 7 points behind the playoff line.

Nashville SC 1-0 Seattle Sounders

Nashville SC beat the Concacaf champions in the Seattle Sounders, on Wednesday night. Hany Mukhtar put the hosts in the lead right before halftime. Joe Willis made a huge save to maintain Nashville’s lead and secure all three points. Nashville is now third in the Western Conference, while Seattle is now 8th in the Western Conference and a point behind the playoff line.

Colorado Rapids 1-1 Orlando City

Colorado and Orlando both gained a point in a rare cross-conference encounter. Young attacker Facundo Torres gave Orlando an early lead, but Colorado struck back through MLS journeyman Gyasi Zardes. Colorado currently sits 13th in the Western conference and 6 points behind the playoff line, while Orlando currently sits 5th in the Eastern Conference.

FC Dallas 0-1 NYCFC

NYCFC continued their good form with a 1-0 win in Dallas. Heber’s goal in the 29th minute was enough to earn the Champions all three points. NYCFC currently sits 2nd in the Eastern Conference, while FC Dallas is now winless in 6 and 6th in the Western Conference.

LA Galaxy 2-3 San Jose Earthquakes

The San Jose Earthquakes shocked the Galaxy in a 3-2 California Clasico victory. The away side scored twice in three minutes giving themselves an early 2-0 lead. That 2-0 lead turned into a 3-0 courtesy of a Marcos Lopez Goal. Two Dejan Jovelic goals made the match interesting, but San Jose was able to hold on for their first MLS away victory of the season. The Galaxy currently sits 7th in the Western Conference, while the Earthquakes sit 12 in the Western Conference and 5 points below the playoff line.
